Augusto Ballardo

"I have to say that in these days I have seen around me, both in a material and digital manner, a society barely compromised as a community. This shows me that the stage in which we have lived and grown has overflown in its reflection as humanity… for this reason I now ask myself whether we really know who we are and where we are heading to.

Perhaps, if we analyze our past, we would find a series of acts that would lead us to understand where we lost track and when we changed the course of our actions. We would get to the beginning of the “word”, to the immediate possibility of communicating or expressing an abstract idea in a set of harmonic sounds acquired through nature.

It is that belonging to an ongoing past, the one that has erased systematically our learning and communication process within the same habitat, which reflects solely ourselves, showing humanity as a homogenous group that has been fragmented in such way that is not conceived within the common benefit.  A group that omits its value and denies its unpredictable power towards its own natural re-establishment.

Although the arts, throughout history, have been a prosperous channel for these ways of social communication to interweave, it is us the artists and all the cultural agents who have moved away from a main point within this message, the power to understand and spread what the world transmits us.

It is now when we can truly write who we are, being participants and reciprocal as a society."
